Neudesic Adds Integration to Microsoft Dynamics CRM With Neuron ESB 2.5

Neudesic has launched a new version of its SOA-based enterprise service bus messaging application for Microsoft Dynamics CRM that delivers "topic" based, event-driven data in real time over federated, geographic deployments.

According to Marty Wasznicky, vice president of business development for the Irvine, Calif.-based company, Neuron ESB 2.5 fulfills the promise of the first version released last spring, with a rewritten event model, more workflow activities and new web service interactions.

"Version 2.5 brings [all the improvements] together," Wasznicky said. "This is far more sophisticated, event-based CRM."

The new Neuron version adds CRM workflow activities, which enables users to create workflows based on any entity or any rules and then determine what fields are appropriate, what to publish, what topics to cover, what they should look like and where they should go, he said. 

With Neuron ESB 2.5 and its Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) API, users can link CRM with any web services, Wasznicky added.

Neuron ESB 2.5 also adds REST support, enhanced auditing and enhanced connectivity including event-based connectivity with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 3.0 and Microsoft Dynamics CRM, which, in turn, will increase agility and performance.

Neuron ESB 2.5, which is also available for other Microsoft applications, is the only commercially available ESB written on the .NET platform, Wasznicky said. This benefits users because ESB 2.5 runs on the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) API which combines multiple SOA messaging protocols, making ESB 2.5 truly interoperable and enterprise-class, he said.

Businesses use Neudesic's platform to link CRM into other applications or expose a web portal front-end to business processes, Wasznicky said. Other Microsoft CRM applications don't have a true integration story because they work via plug-ins ...
