Microsoft will not deprecate Outlook add-in for Microsoft Dynamics 365/CRM, says James Phillips

Microsoft has decided to revert its plans to deprecate the Outlook client add-in for Dynamics 365/CRM. Microsoft CVP for business applications, platform and intelligence products James Phillips announced the change during the 365 Saturday event in London this weekend, and Microsoft MVP for Dynamics 365/CRM Guido Preite first reported the change in his event writeup.

UPDATE: Microsoft has published a blog post with more details on the decision to change support plans for the Outlook add-in, including "overwhelming" feedback. Here's an excerpt (emphasis theirs):
