Microsoft taps LinkedIn as part of new Dynamics 365 talent offering

As part of a collection of product updates revealed today, Microsoft announced plans for a new Dynamics 365 offering focused on talent management.  

Dynamics 365 for Talent will "help companies better manage and nurture that precious resource" known as their people, Microsoft EVP for Cloud + Enterprise Scott Guthrie wrote in a new blog post.   

D365 for Talent will be available in July, according to Guthrie. The solution will rely on LinkedIn Recruiter for candidate profiling and will offer several other capabilities including:  

  • Deliver personalized onboarding experiences that accelerate employees' ability to deliver impact with targeted activities and learning resources, along with access to relevant contacts 
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of employee experiences through a consolidated HR profile spanning Office 365, Dynamics 365 and LinkedIn profile information 
  • Drive operational excellence, measure business impact and improve program effectiveness with integrated intelligence that lets you maximize your human resources. 

We've incquired with Microsoft about exactly which Dynamics 365 apps will be part of the D365 for Talent offering. Dynamics 365 for Operations has a deep set of employee management capabilities already, and the D365 CRM apps and their XRM platform are also well suited to support a range of HR-related business needs.
