Writing on his blog, Sandeep Mishra stated that many finance teams are still handling employee reimbursements by hand.

He noted that this often means long email chains, messy spreadsheets, and slow approvals that take up time and can lead to mistakes. 

However, Mishra wrote that there's a better way. You can automate the entire reimbursement workflow, from collecting requests to saving approved entries in Excel without any coding.

In his blog post, he explained how to set up a clean, step-by-step process using Microsoft Forms, Power Automate, and Excel Online. 

Mishra stated that employees will then be able to submit their claims through a form, finance will get approval requests right away, and approved claims will automatically be added to one shared Excel file for easy processing.
