Microsoft passes 1 million user mark for Microsoft Dynamics CRM

Today at its Worldwide Partner Conference 2009 in New Orleans, Microsoft Corp. said that it has more than one million users of Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

According to the company, its customers and partners around the world are using its CRM and xRM products to deploy fast, flexible and affordable CRM on-premise, partner-hosted and CRM Online deployment models.

"Today, hundreds of Microsoft Dynamics CRM customers are building thousands of xRM applications," said Brad Wilson, general manager of Microsoft Dynamics CRM, in a statement. "We've built significant alliances within and across Microsoft to capitalize on these high-growth opportunities, and we're ready to drive value for our next million customers."

David Kohar, partner at Seattle-based, Ascentium Corp., said hitting the one million user mark was quite an achievement for Microsoft.

"It's a big milestone for any business application to hit a million users and it really entrenches Microsoft Dynamics CRM in the marketplace worldwide" said David Kohar, partner at Seattle-based, Ascentium Corp., the 2009 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference Award winner in Microsoft Dynamics CRM. "Our customers now are more convinced and comfortable that Microsoft is actually going to continue to make big investments in this area."

Kohar said as with any solution, people always wonder what the future of it is, how it's going to be maintained, and how it's going to grow and be supported.

"This [announcement] will give customers and partners real confidence that Microsoft is going to continue to make that investment into that solution and that area and continue to build the leading product that it has already established," he said.
