There are now more than 4,800 solutions for Dynamics 365 Business Central on Microsoft AppSource, and the application is expanding its reach to be available in 160 countries as Microsoft prepares to launch 2023 release wave 2 for the SMB ERP product.

Kicking off their launch event for the release wave, Microsoft representatives explained that investment areas for this round of updates cover core feature areas, generative AI, integration with Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, expansion to 23 more countries and locales, performance and high availability, development, and administration.

Business Central has its own Copilot roadmap. In addition to previously announced plans like marketing text suggestions for products, the team are adding AI-driven assistance with bank reconciliation tasks and the ability for ISVs to include Copilot capabilities in their Business Central solutions. "We expect we will see even more apps [in AppSource] based on this," said Microsoft principal program manager Jannik Bausager at the launch event.
