Microsoft has named company veteran Mike Morton as the new general manager for Dynamics 365 Business Central. The announcement came at today's Business Central virtual event focused on 2020 release wave 1.

"We were incredibly lucky to find an experienced Microsoft leader with exactly the skills and experience to drive the next wave of growth for Business Central in the cloud," said Microsoft Technical Fellow Mike Ehrenberg in kicking off today's event. Ehrenberg stated that he will continue with the CTO role over the broader Dynamics product line.

Ehrenberg took over Business Central management duties following the departure of previous GM Marko Perisic in November 2018.
