Microsoft Dynamics Profile: The Evolving Art of AX Training

Rachel Profitt has made a 14-year career of both using Microsoft Dynamics AX and training others in the solution. She is the Director of Training Services at Junction Academy, a division of Denver, Colorado-based Junction Solutions, a Microsoft Gold Certified learning partner. She leads a team of six other instructors who deliver onsite and online training in Dynamics AX.

Profitt is also on the advisory board of the AXUG Summit and will deliver nine sessions (and counting), including two of Summit's new-in-2015 multi-part sessions. She recently spoke with MSDynamicsWorld.com and described how she learned about Dynamics AX and her approach to creating Dynamics AX training and education for classroom and electronic learning.

MSDW: You've made a career in Dynamics AX since 2001 - your entire career - and you lead a team of trainers, right?

Profitt: Correct. My team is really unique compared to a lot of partners. All we do is focus on training for Dynamics AX, and all of our trainers are [Microsoft Certified Trainer] MCT certified or on their way, and are always certified in the topic areas they train in. And they have experience in the solutions they're implementing. So with us, you get the best of the best.

Dynamics AX is a constantly-evolving solution, does that mean constant re-certification?

Microsoft technically changes the requirements [for MCT] each year, so I have to take new certifications on Dynamics AX ...
