CGS Launches Dynamics AX Mobile Point of Sale App for iPad, iPhone

CGS had rolled out a new mobile point of sale (POS) application for Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail. The app is compatible with Apple iPod and iPhone devices.

With the CGS Mobile POS for Microsoft Dynamics AX, retailers can perform point-of-sale transactions on-the-fly including processing sales transactions, voids and returns, scanning bar codes, processing discounts, maintaining customer records, and looking up prices, sales tax, and merchandise information, according to company officials.

The solution will also enable retailers to perform more advanced functions including clienteling, mobile loyalty program updates, high-end customer capture, gift card and sales redemption, wireless receipts printing/emailing, credit or debit card payment and start/end of day reporting, officials said.

"The CGS Mobile POS for Microsoft Dynamics AX will enable our customers to provide that experience while affording them the scalability and stability of the Microsoft back-end platform, leading to improved overall service and highly satisfied consumers," said said Paul Magel, President of the Applications Solutions Group at CGS, in a statement.
