Bombay Dyeing Deploys Microsoft Dynamics AX to Improve Productivity

Bombay Dyeing, a bed and bath linen company in India, has deployed Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to gain business insights, ensure better inventory and stocks management, trend analysis and share unified experience to customers across its stores.

Deploying Dynamics AX 2012 under the name "Project Disha," Bombay Dyeing has improved operations. It also brings in management efficiency that helps in effective and on-time business decisions, according to company officials.

Phase I of the project has been rolled out in nine company outlets with POS solutions. The project enables walk-in customers to have a "complete shopping experience." Phase II of the project, which will be rolled out in Mar-May 2013 will connect 332 franchise outlets nationwide.

Deploying Dynamics AX 2012 solution enabled Bombay Dyeing to increase transparency and responsibility across the organization; improve productivity of processes and personnel; minimize human errors; and improve business operations and controls.

"Microsoft Dynamics AX has helped us improve key business processes significantly. It enhances speed and accuracy of accounts, invoicing, stocking and other areas," said Durgesh Mehta, Joint Managing Director, Bombay Dyeing.
