NAV’s Text-to-Speech Feature Can Help: A helpful post from Mayank Bhardwaj at Extreme Engineers explains the value of NAV’s text-to-speech capability, and how to access this built-in feature: “Well I seriously think that Text-to-Speech capabilities are extremely underplayed even when everyone knows that spoken words command much more attention than the boring text box filled with wobbled text. I feel that the interactivity of a software increases exponentially if it can speak out to its user. And all this is possible without the cost to buy or without the hassle to install any third party component. Every thing we need is already with us. The Text-to-Speech capabilities are build into the Microsoft Windows OS since Windows XP. Although you might have to enable the Text-to-Speech in Windows XP (Details of which can be found here), the later OS have it enabled by default.”
