Use NAV RapidStart to Make Mass Updates

On the Boyer & Associates blog, Mike Louis explained how to use Microsoft Dynamics NAV RapidStart to make a large number to changes to multiple records in a more automated way.

Louis said this blog post was the first in a series he planned to write to help you start using RapidStart in Dynamics NAV. He said RapidStart lets you add several new records at once or update existing records quickly. However, because of data dependencies, you can't mass archive/delete records, he said.

But before you get started using RapidStart there are a couple things you have to do:

  • Ensure you back up the data in its original state
  • Before you apply the change in production, test the changes in a non-production environment.
