Extending NAV through .NET Interoperability: Vjekoslav Babic at Navigate for Success recently presented a nice walkthrough of how to consume NAV web services through .NET interop. The demo shows how to call NAV web service to populate a lookup page with data from another database, and how to create and post documents in another database. Thankfully, for those who did not attend the presentation, Vjekoslav posted the presentation and slide deck. He has also provided the full source code and setup instructions for the .NET interop demo of intercompany postings.

Currency Exchange Rates from RSS: The MS Dynamics NAV Team Blog provides an rss feed and code that parses the input of currencies and updates the currency exchange rate table: "An often requested feature is automatic download of currency exchange rates, and this short article illustrates how you can build your own using RSS feeds and MS XMLDOM 6.0 which should work with all NAV versions 2.0 to 2009R2.
