How I upgraded to Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2017

On Waldo's Blog, Eric Wauters, aka Waldo, explained how he successfully upgraded his company's Microsoft Dynamics NAV app to NAV 2017.

In his blog post, he pointed the issues he faced during the upgrade.

First step for me always is an ‘upgrade' in the pure sense of the word. No redesign, no refactoring, no new features. Just the customized code transferred to the new version of NAV. That's what this post is about. Next step (and release) for us is going to be incorporating the new features that Microsoft brings us.

Wauters stated that he was able to do the upgrade in less than 12 hours, but that is four times as long as he spent upgrading last year. He said that was because of the significant refactoring that Microsoft has been doing.

Functionality Improvements in NAV 2017
