Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS) update adds NAV 2018 translation support, GDPR adjustments
Microsoft has announced its second update of the month to Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS). The updates include new support for NAV 2018 in Dynamics 365 Translation Services (DTS), new suggested solutions for support issues, updates to LCS administrator roles, and changes that support GDPR compliance.
The Dynamics 365 - Translation Service (DTS), which provides Microsoft VARs and ISVs with a machine translation system for adding languages to their solutions, now supports Dynamics NAV 2018. It had previously supported NAV 2017 and some earlier versions, along with older CRM versions and D365 for Retail.
Microsoft's evaluation of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements has led it to remove the LCS feedback form. They explain that, "[T]o comply with GDPR, when you click the Feedback button, you will be directed to Ideas where you can provide feedback on any of the various forums."
LCS Support will now show users the top 10 "Possible issue solutions" when they enter a new support request. The results are dynamically refreshed as the support case is created and more details are provided, the team writes.
And there is a new tab for "Environment administrator." "On this tab, you can add a project user to the Environment administrator role. The user's email address domain is used as the environment's tenant," they write.
