Microsoft Dynamics GP October 2024 – vendor remit address detail saved to history

On the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Terry Heley wrote that before version 18.7 of Microsoft Dynamics GP, the full "remit to" name and address weren't saved in the history table – only the remit address ID was recorded.

However, she noted that this ID alone didn't provide enough information for audits or fraud checks. She stated that if someone needed to verify a payment later, they couldn't confirm that the money was sent to the right vendor.

Heley pointed out that since only the ID was stored, users couldn't see the full address details, such as the contact name or physical address, at the time the check was issued. And those details might have changed since then.

Heley wrote that starting with the 18.7 release, a new table called PM80810 – PM Reprint Address was added to improve audit tracking.

In her blog post, she explained what this table does and why it's important. She also provided information about an issue some users are having with the new table and offered a workaround to solve the problem.

Take your Dynamics GP MR reporting to the next level: summer tips

Writing on the ERP SoftwareBlog, an author from GP Support North offered some tips for formatting and creating advanced reports in Management Reporter.

In the blog post, the author took a close look at advanced reporting by showing you how to create four useful report types in Management Reporter:

  • Side-by-side reports: compare different types of data, such as assets and liabilities, side by side in the same report.
  • Weekly reports: track activity weekly, especially for cash flow and operations.
  • Rolling 12-month reports: keep your reports up to date without making changes every month. These reports automatically refresh to show the most recent year of data.
  • Trended reports: help you see how things change over time. Perfect for identifying patterns or seasonal trends.
