Support Debugging Tool Build 16 Released: At the Developing for Dynamics GP blog, David Musgrave, a member of the Microsoft Dynamics GP Developer Support Team, provided some insight into his whereabouts since the beginning of the new year.
Musgrave said all his spare time for the past four months has been put into developing, testing and documenting build 16 of the Support Debugging Tool, which is now available for download from PartnerSource.
According to Musgrave, the new version of the tool has over 50 changes and focuses on functionality for logging and debugging issues with Dynamics GP, while still offering some improvements for the database or application administrator.
"A quick hint about how much is included in this build is that the User Guide PDF has grown from 161 pages to 193 pages," he said.
Some highlights of the new build include:
- Macro Recording Logging
- SQL Profile Tracing Logging
- Improved Trigger functionality including a Trigger Administration window
- SQL Role Views from the Security Information window
