Management Reporter - Subtracting Segments in Trees Yields Incorrect Results: Over at the Dynamics GP Land blog, Christina Phillips, an MCT with BKD Technologies, says that recently several clients had updated to UR 5 of Management Reporter 2012 - typically an uneventful process.

But recently after applying the update, some clients noticed that some of their reports were pulling incorrect balances. Phillips says it happens using both the data mart and legacy providers.

"As we began to dig in to the reports, we noticed that the incorrect balances were related to specific reporting units in the tree. And these reporting units were a little different, as they were excluding one particular value for dimension."

So, for example, the reporting unit had two values specified for the department dimension:

Add (+) a range of 00:99
Subtract (-) single value of 50

You Cannot Print An Unauthorized Purchase Order: As Ian Grieve notes on his AzureCurve blog, this is an error message he recently received on his demo system when he was trying to print a purchase order.

Grieve says he's really not surprised to see errors occur on that VM and when he does, he either builds a new one or, more often, redeploys the Fabrikam, Inc. sample company. However, in this case he says he was a little surprised to see this message.
