Management Reporter is Unable to Connect to the Company

On his Azurecurve blog, Ian Grieve says one of his clients was recently having problems with the Microsoft Dynamics GP Datamart in Management Reporter 2012, so he removed the DDM and installed the Legacy GP Connector. He tested it on the server and everything worked fine, so he asked the user to try.

Unfortunately, it didn't just work and the user got this error: "Management Reporter - Unable to connect to the ‘{company].' The connection to the Microsoft Dynamics GP database failed. Contact your system administrator."

Can't Delete Company in Management Reporter

Grieve seems to be having a fun week with Management Reporter. Grieve says recently his company took on a new client that already had Microsoft Dynamics GP and had been migrated to Management Reporter before it went to his company for support.

So Grieve did a little exercise of checking configuration and "tidied up" where it was necessary. During this exercise, he found two companies in Management Reporter that weren't needed -  the FW and FWC companies.
