General Ledger Summary Trial Balance Returning Incorrect Data

On his AzureCurve blog, Ian Grieve said his company is currently in the process of upgrading a large 20-site client from Microsoft Dynamics GP 9 to a later version (unfortunately not 2015 due to third party add-ons that aren't supported on this version). Previously, the client had had standalone implementations at each site, but Grieve and his team are aggregating them into one implementation to simplify maintenance and also to cut licensing costs.

The first few sites the team centralized went off without a hitch, but they ran into problems when they did the head office companies. When those companies ran the general ledger summary trial balance on the old and new systems they didn't match.
