Cancel Purchase Order Lines When Linked to a Requisition

On the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Isaac Olson explained that when a purchase requisition is used to generate a purchase order line, the lines are linked between the requisition and the purchase order.

Before Microsoft Dynamics GP 2016 R2, you couldn't edit the PO line because of this linked (committed) quantity, he noted. However, this new feature lets you cancel the PO line quantities in the Purchase Order Entry window or the Edit Purchase Order Status window without breaking the link between the PO line and the requisition. 

The user will receive the following message: "The requisition item quantity is being canceled and cannot be linked again." In this message window, you can either Continue, or Cancel the change.

Also on the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Lance Koplin stated that a new feature was added in Dynamics GP 2016 R2 to set security when modifying a SmartList Favorite.
