New updates to GP 18.5
Writing on the Logan Consulting blog, Page Wildridge stated that Microsoft has released several updates to Dynamics GP 18.5. She noted that the updates were software-based and include tools that should help organizations work more efficiently.
In her blog post, she discussed three new updates to GP and the future of GP.
Wildridge explained how to print and email POP documents simultaneously, how to schedule a time to run the checklinks process rather than running it once you've selected it, and how to post batches automatically, which can be used for workflows designated to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger batches.
Troubleshooting when the web management console for Microsoft Dynamics GP web components isn’t working
Writing on the Dynamics GP Support and Services Blog, Derek Albaugh pointed out this scenario: you've just installed the Dynamics GP web client, and everything is running. However, when you go to access the web management console, you run into issues. in his blog, Albaugh offered a few different resolutions to get the web management console working and accessible.
He stated that you should first verify that you’re logged on to the machine as a Windows account that has been added to the domain security group that was set up to have access to the web management console, when the web client was installed.
Next, Albaugh explained what you have to do when you try to access the web management console. He also noted that when you access the web management console, the call to verify the session central service URL uses TLS 1.2 via the code.
On the server(s) where Web Client and the Web Management Console are installed, look in the event viewer logs, particularly the 'Dynamics" log, for error or warning information related to the web client and the web management console.
He then pointed out a couple other steps you need to take to troubleshoot when the web management console doesn't work.
