Newly Released Donation Management for Dynamics CRM 2011: The Microsoft Dynamics CRM Blog touts the launch of Donation Management, currently available in English for non-profits in the US and Canada. The new program is far more extensive than its previous incarnations:

"Though this is branded as a ‘version 1.0', in fact the solution builds upon our previous work in the not-for-profit space - formerly known as the ‘Not for Profit Accelerator' or the ‘Charity Accelerator'... Where the former accelerator was restricted to CRM Online, this version works across CRM Online, on-premises, and partner-hosted. It's now available at no charge for customers of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 or as part of the on-going $9.99/user/month not-for-profit pricing for CRM Online in the United States... The package re-skins CRM for non-profit organizations to help manage their donation pipeline, memberships, benefits, events, and fundraisers. A future release will also include capabilities to directly track electronic contributions."

Trends Point to Social CRM Increase in the UK: In his blog, A Software Insider's Point of View, R "Ray" Wang shares some observations about social media adoption gained from his conversations out in the field:

"Social CRM (SCRM) adoption [is] picking up in the UK for marketing and support/service. Conversations with Laurence Buchanan, CapGemini's chief dude on CRM and Social CRM, indicated that clients are interested in SCRM for both an offensive and defensive strategy. ...
