Microsoft Dynamics BI Vendor TARGIT Announces New Growth Plan, New Analytics Tools
Many exhibitors at Convergence 2013 will have something new to show off to attendees - a new version, new delivery platform, an alliance, maybe even a whole new product. But executives from BI and analytics provider TARGIT say they are launching both a new version of their core product and new long-term business goals.
The Boston-based company's new strategy aims to grow revenue tenfold over ten years by focusing on Microsoft Dynamics AX and NAV users. The Dynamics segment already makes up 80 percent of the company's customer base, according to COO Ulrik Pedersen.
New releases at Convergence
The company will be investing more in product development as part of its new strategy and will be introducing two new offerings at Convergence - Intelligent Wiz and TimeLiner. TimeLiner aims to make it easy for almost any organization to get useful analysis from big data sources. Starting with existing business data like an ERP system, the product makes it easy to begin integrating big data sources - even for companies that will never have a team of data scientists, says TARGIT CTO Dr. Morton Middlefart.
"Everyone knows they have to do something with [big data] to be competitive, but they don't know where to start," says Middlefart. "We're offering a very easy path that allows them to interface with [sources like] social analytics and Google Trends out of the box. More will come and our strategy toward big data is to be practical, customer-centric, and value-centric. We say, if you have a value chain, what is the next natural step to add on from outside your organization?"
