Microsoft Dynamics AX Retail event added to upcoming Technical Conference

This year's Microsoft Dynamics Technical Conference, starting February 2, is getting a format update by adding a Dynamics CRM track side by side with the traditional AX material. And Microsoft has announced that it is also adding a two day Retail conference and other deep dive workshops following the main event.

The Microsoft Dynamics Retail Conference on February 5 and 6 will cover advanced topics on Dynamics for Retail, specifically related to Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU 8. The event is intended for AX consultants, solution architects, IT professionals and system administrators, and support personnel. Attending the Technical Conference earlier in the week is a pre-requisite to the retail event.

According to event details, attendees can expect functional deep dives on the broad range of retail-specific features of AX. These include the POS interface, Retail Server, Hardware station, eCommerce, Catalog & Call Center sales, assortments, loyalty, items, variants, kits, pricing and promotions, reports, and more. There will also be hands-on labs and deep dive technical sessions on architecture, customization, and performance and scalability.

Some of the retail event's content will be delivered during the main Technical Conference, so for those planning to attend both, take into account that some of your regular conference time seems like it will be pre-determined to include the retail sessions running on February 2 through 4.

The Technical Conference will feature Microsoft Dynamics technical leaders including Technical Fellow Mike Ehrenberg, Dynamics CRM GM Jujhar Singh, Dynamics AX GM Dan Brown, and GM for Microsoft Business Solutions Platform for Dynamics Sri Srinivasan.
