Dynamics AX for Retail is Now Available Worldwide: Microsoft's Lachlan Cash at the Reflections on Dynamics AX blog touts this "great solution for customers looking for an end to end retail solution. What is unique here is that the retail solution is an extension of the core Microsoft Dynamics AX. Customers are not deploying different solutions for different parts of their business."

"This is a great example of the simplicity in the Microsoft Dynamics AX architecture. Simple in the way we can extend our code base. The same way our partners can also provide extensions and vertical solutions. This enables customers to have one system and one view of their business without having to invest in systems integration and maintenance of those integrations."

Lightened Up: Access License Rights Eased to Extend ERP: As of September 1, Business Ready Licensing customers have had access to three lighter access license rights: The Light User, the Employees Self Service User, and the Limited Device CAL. The Microsoft Dynamics Partner Community Blog touts how this move will help extend the ERP solution further into an organization: "Customers have new licensing options when accessing their Microsoft Dynamics ERP solution by means other than the rich client. These options are available whether deploying a web-based experience or taking full advantage of the great interoperability with Microsoft Office® and Microsoft SharePoint."
