Updated D365 F&SCM user licensing in 10.44
Writing on his blog, Alex Meyer wrote that Microsoft has spent the past few months updating how user licensing works to prepare for enforcing license rules later this year.
In his blog post, Meyer provided details on some of the updates that appear in the 10.44 release of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management. For example, the SysAdmin role no longer needs a license, and the “None” license type is being phased out.
Microsoft is also getting rid of outdated ways to view user license information and creating new tables to store license data. He explained that this data will be reviewed and analyzed through the Power Platform admin center.
