Avoiding currency mismatch errors in Dynamics 365 CE
On the Himbap blog, Mahender Pal wrote that when you use Dynamics 365 Sales, it helps to know how currency works across various records, such as opportunities, quotes, orders, and invoices. He noted that understanding this early can prevent errors and data problems later.
Pal stated that when you create one of these records, the application automatically sets the currency based on the customer it's linked to. In addition, each sales record uses a price list, and that price list is tied to a specific currency.
