Handling tariffs and landed

On the Dynamics Square blog, Shreyansh Gupta asked you to picture a midsize manufacturer in Ohio that buys special machine parts from Germany and raw materials from Southeast Asia.

However, he pointed out that the price on the invoice isn't the full cost as there are extra charges for shipping, insurance, customs, and tariffs. These added costs are hard to track, and they change the real cost of each product.

Consequently, he noted that the finance team has trouble keeping these expenses straight, and the production manager keeps reworking the numbers to figure out true margins. And leadership needs clear, up-to-date information to make good buying decisions and follow U.S. trade rules. He explained how D365BC helps track and allocate landed costs, manage item charges, and support compliance.

Fixing 'missing appid on table extension metadata' error

Writing on his blog, Ammolh Saallvi stated that while running a tenant sync in D365BC on premises, he ran into an error during the Sync-NAVTenant step.
