AboutTitle and AboutText: Better teaching tips

Writing on his blog, Brad Prendergast stated that teaching tips are small, helpful hints that can cut down on training time. In Business Central, the AboutTitle and AboutText properties let you add simple “What is this?” explanations right on pages, fields, actions, and more.

Prendergast noted that they’re useful because they scale easily, and you can add a quick note to one field or a broader explanation for a whole page, all without writing any code.

In his blog post, Prendergast explained what AboutTitle and AboutText are and why you should care. He also discussed when a teaching tip works and when it doesn’t.

Document dates: sales orders

On the Fenwick blog, Brendon Scott wrote that this was the second part of his series on D365BC document dates. He noted that this edition, which focuses on the different dates used on sales orders, follows his earlier article on purchase order dates.
