Microsoft partner director of product, Mandy Whaley, announced Microsoft Playwright Testing. The new service is designed to support the Playwright open-source testing framework at scale, providing a managed service with a high degree of parallelization. Playwright gives customers a way to plan out how their web apps will change over time. The service is intended to cut down on complexity and testing run times when conducting tests.
“By using Microsoft Playwright Testing service you can increase the number of workers at cloud-scale to much bigger numbers. The worker processes orchestrated by @playwright/test continue to run locally but the browser instances, which are resource-intensive, now run in the cloud. You can see in the demo video below how thousands of tests run on 50 parallel browsers in the cloud managed by Microsoft Playwright Testing, significantly reducing the wait time for test results,” Whaley explained.
Principal technical program manager Gavin Squire explained that Microsoft has received HITRUST CSF v11 certification. Achieving this certification is part of Microsoft’s initiative to support big data projects in healthcare. The certification incorporates multiple sources like HIPAA, PCI, COBIT, ISO, and NIST into harmonized controls. Microsoft first received an earlier version of HITRUST certification in 2016. Since then, it has offered the HITRUST Shared Responsibility Matrix for Azure and the HITRUST Inheritance Program, which allows organizations to reduce compliance costs.
