Microsoft and Informatica focus on analytics migrations to Azure

Microsoft and Informatica are partnering to offer customers a path for migrating analytics workloads to the cloud.

The Informatica-Microsoft partnership will offer customers new options to convert code and use a SQL Data Warehouse subscription for free during a "proof of value" phase. The two companies indicated that they are dedicating internal resources, including Azure SQL Data Warehouse pros to the effort. 

John 'JG' Chirapurath, general manager for Azure Data and AI touted Azure's speed, which he stated is 14 times faster and 94 percent less costly than with other cloud providers.
