Microsoft acquires Suplari to bolster spend management in Dynamics 365

Microsoft announced it has acquired spend intelligence vendor Suplari, with plans to bring the Suplari Spend Intelligence Cloud together with Dynamics 365.

"By bringing Suplari’s spend intelligence insights together with the existing Microsoft Dynamics 365 capabilities, Microsoft is further helping organizations become insight-driven and enabling business leaders to take strategic action," wrote Frank Weigel, Microsoft vice president of the Dynamics 365 Insights Product Group.

Weigel also stated:

Together with Dynamics 365, the Suplari Spend Intelligence Cloud will help customers maximize financial visibility by using AI to automate the analysis of current data and historical patterns from multiple data sources. It will also help customers enhance financial decision-making by predicting the best spend management actions moving forward. 

Suplari's solution, which is focused on the enterprise and mid-market, remains in market with no change for current customers. The platform offers a shared view of data for procurement and finance teams, and provides tools for needs like contract management, spend analytics, and more.

The company's platform now manages more than $180B in spend across millions of transactions per month, according to CEO Nikesh Param in a statement. He added that the companies have partnered for several years:
