Microsoft Acquires Dynamics CRM Portals, ALM Software Products from Adxstudio
Microsoft announced today that it has reached a definitive agreement to acquire the product business of Adxstudio, makers of a popular web portals platform based on Dynamics CRM, and .NET-based application lifecycle management (ALM) software.
"With this acquisition of our long-time partner, our customers will immediately be able to take advantage of new and exciting ways to engage with customers online," wrote Dynamics CRM CVP Bob Stutz today in a blog post.
Stutz notes several key reasons for the decision to acquire the long time Dynamics CRM ISV. Primarily, Adxstudio's products align well with Microsoft's interests in improving online self service and customer engagement. They also bring to Microsoft a library of pre-built portal vertical solutions for partner management, technical support, and citizen engagement.
Adxstudio's professional services division will be spinning off to form a new company, Adoxio Business Solutions, the company has stated in a blog post.
Adxstudio has remained a committed Microsoft partner as technology and product strategy has shifted over the last few years. Led by Microsoft MVP Shan McArthur, the company has been known for expertise in Microsoft technology and its focus on both simplifying the deployment of web portals and also offering advanced application lifecycle management tools for development teams.
