Microsoft 2025 Q4 earnings outperform in strong year for Azure

Microsoft reported Q4 2025 financial performance today with earnings per share of $3.65 on revenue of $76.4 billion, exceeding analyst estimates.

In announcing the results, CEO Satya Nadella highlighted cloud and AI performance for the year, stating, “We’re innovating across the tech stack to help customers adapt and grow in this new era, and this year, Azure surpassed $75 billion in revenue, up 34 percent, driven by growth across all workloads.”

Business highlights announced by the company include:

  • Microsoft Cloud quarterly revenue was $29.9 billion, up 26%. 
  • Azure and other cloud services revenue growth of 39%
  • Dynamics products and cloud services revenue increased 18% driven by Dynamics 365 revenue growth of 23% (up 21% in constant currency)
  • Microsoft 365 Commercial revenue growth of 16%

Full year revenue for 2025 was $281.7 billion, with earnings per share of $13.64, up 16% from 2024.

Last quarter, Microsoft reported earnings per share of $3.46 on revenue of $70.1 billion, exceeding analyst estimates.

A year ago, Microsoft reported Q4 earnings per share of $2.95 on revenue of $64.7 billion, slightly exceeding analyst estimates. Full year revenue for 2024 was $245.1 billion, with earnings per share of $11.80.
