Mekorma Adds Multi-Batch Management Feature to MICR

Microsoft Dynamics GP ISV Mekorma has added a multi-batch management feature to its MICR check enhancement for GP.

Mekorma MICR with Multi-Batch Management (MMM) improves efficiency and accuracy in companies' AP processes by automating the time-consuming process of individually creating, printing and posting payable batches, according to Mekorma CEO Ora Goldman.

MMM offers customers an easy way to create payment batches, print checks, generate electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and SafePay files from multiple checkbooks and across companies. The new feature handles all the repetitive clicking and company switching, cutting the daily and weekly time spent on such tasks by 75 percent or more, Goldman says.

"Ultimately, what we're doing is automating [a manual process] in GP of doing payments because the user has quite a few steps and button clicks to do for a really pretty tedious process," she says. "Sometimes, depending on the volume for a company, it can take anywhere from half a day to a full week to process their payments."

How MMM automates those time-intensive processes

MMM saves rules for creating payment batches; automatically creates accurate batches across companies; and enables customers to see all their payment batches (EFTs and checks) on one screen, Goldman says.

"Part of the existing process in GP is that companies have to do the same set of steps for every batch they want to run," she says. "So for the creation of the payment batches, checks, or EFT batches, you set up a few simple rules, which is a one-time thing unless you want to change your process.
