Marketing automation vendor ClickDimensions saw triple digit revenue, customer base growth in 2013

Marketing automation vendor ClickDimensions reported this week that it finished 2013 with 132% revenue growth and 104% customer base growth. 

ClickDimensions CEO John Gravely described 2014 as "off to a great start" following a 2013 that exceeded his expectation The company had previously posted 376% revenue growth from 2011 to 2012 in GAAP terms (earlier statements had used cash basis accounting). And the company expects to continue with revenue growth greater than 100% in 2014, he said.

The company is also updating its solution lineup in 2014, including the formal release and branding of its AzureSend email platform, technology it has been developing for more than a year. The company has no plans to make a business out of AzureSend but will be using it as "a separate platform" for email deliverability with ClickDimensions solutions.

Gravely also hinted at a new marketing platform that will launch later this year. It is not Dynamics focused, but it will remain focused on Microsoft technology.

Some other points that the company highlighted today were their employee growth to over 60 people worldwide; a new office in The Hague, and a partner channel of 542 companies in 46 countries.

As this announcement and others make clear, marketing automation vendors are optimistic about 2014. For example, SalesFUSION, which sells into several major CRM channels, reported more than 100% revenue and gross profit growth in 2013. They noted especially strong results in the mid-market. And Marketo, which also sells marketing automation broadly beyond Dynamics CRM, reported late in 2013 that it grew revenues by 67% in 2013 Q3.
