LS Express Start brings POS to small retailers with Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials

Just in time for National Retail Federation (NRF) Big Show 2017 (which launched on Sunday the 15th), LS Retail has released LS Express Start, a retail Point of Sale (POS) developed in cooperation with Microsoft. LS Express Start is available as an app for Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials.

LS Express Start is a retail POS available as an app for Financials, says LS Retail Product Director Gudrun Olafsdottir, and is available immediately in the US from the Microsoft AppSource Marketplace.

Starting at just $79 per month per POS, the solution is available for single stores at present, though Olafsdottir says it will scale up in the near future. "It is aimed at specialty stores, coffee houses, anything like that."

Together LS Express Start and Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Financials form a complete POS/ accounting system providing small and medium-sized retailers with all the core sales functions they need, say the two companies. LS Express Start is available as a subscription-based SaaS offering; the monthly subscription model enables small businesses with limited capital to benefit from the latest technology, making them more competitive.

And as the name implies, the goal of the product is for a retail location to ramp up quickly. "They do not need an implementation partner, which is a different model than we have been before," says Olafsdottir.
