Komprise, a California-based analytics and data management company announced that it has teamed up with Microsoft to support Azure File Migration Program. The new program is intended to complement Azure Migrate with ways to automate the migration of desktops, databases, and servers.

Currently, Komprise offers Komprise Elastic Data Migration which encompasses analytics for NAS, file migration capabilities, and checks file attributes and data integrity. Komprise also touted its Intelligent Data Platform, which it indicates can reduce cloud costs by 70 percent.

“By working closely with the Microsoft Azure Storage team, we can help enterprises accelerate their path to the cloud for file and object data and make their data available to cloud-based data lakes and AI services without locking their data to proprietary storage technology,” stated Krishna Subramanian, President and COO of Komprise.

“Moving data to Microsoft Azure Storage needs to be fast and easy for our customers. We are excited to work with Komprise on delivering a valuable service so that our customers can more easily and reliably move file data from expensive on-premises NAS devices to the cloud native storage services on Azure,” said Jurgen Willis, Vice President, Optimized Workloads and Storage, Azure, in a statement.
