It’s Time to Invest in Dynamics GP Users—Here Are Five Alternatives

As the economy begins to emerge from the latest binge-and-purge cycle, it's important that companies prepare to invest in their Microsoft Dynamics GP users.

Employees have been forced to take on more responsibility for less pay as colleagues have been laid off and salaries cut. There is a pent-up demand for good personnel with solid Dynamics GP knowledge. We see it as our clients look to fill open positions. The problem in the current recession is that talented people are smart enough to stay put through the down times, and this has held down salaries. As we emerge from a downturn, I expect to see significant numbers of Dynamics GP people changing companies as salary offers rise to entice moves.

This means that there is a good chance that a company is going to pay either way. Firms will either have to invest in the employees they have to make them better or spend more for replacements. Investing in current employees provides a lower-cost option to improve Dynamics GP knowledge, while retaining the institutional knowledge already present in current employees.

So what are some ways to invest in Dynamics GP users? Try these five:

Convergence 2010 (April, Atlanta) - Convergence is Microsoft's premier Dynamics customer event. It provides options for Dynamics GP users to interact with the Microsoft development team, support personnel and other Dynamics GP users. There are fantastic learning opportunities at Convergence, along with a chance to recharge by being away from the office for a few days.
