iPipeline Announces Vertical Microsoft Dynamics CRM Solution for the Life Insurance Industry

iPipeline Inc., a provider of on-demand software for life insurance carriers, distributors and producers, has launched a vertical CRM solution, based on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, to promote information exchange within the US insurance industry.

iPipeline CRM will offer insurance logic and previously unavailable integrations with iPipeline's Quotes & Illustrations, Data Services, Agency Management and iGO e-Ap product lines. The solution will also offer out-of-the-box and customized workflows preconfigured for integration and business processes to help companies be more efficient, according to the company. iPipeline CRM will also integrate with leading third-party applications.

"What we have done is taken the Dynamics platform and put a layer on top of it that basically allows us to configure and customize it specifically for the life insurance industry, which is a couple trillion dollar a year in North America-an industry that has been very slow in the adoption of not only general technology but CRM as well," said Tim Wallace, CEO, iPipeline. "It's also a very complex supply chain as it's one of the last three-tier distribution models left in the world."

Wallace said iPipeline CRM will enable the entire channel to store client records, track time-critical tasks, create marketing campaigns, save active quotes and policy records, and access dashboards and analytics in one solution.

In the past, Wallace said large insurance companies tried other CRM solutions that didn't work very well.

"Some have tried Siebel and failed," he said. "One large carrier probably spent about $100 million on a Siebel solution and threw it out. Some have customized their own solutions.
