Interac plans digital payment solutions in Canada with Azure
Interac Corp. announced a new agreement with Microsoft to use Azure to develop secure digital payment solutions for the Canadian market.
The company has seen substantial growth in e-payments during the pandemic, totaling over one billion transactions since April, 2020. In fact, e-payments made up 79% of all transactions in Canada in 2020.
Interac plans to use Azure to support hybrid cloud and on-prem private cloud.
