Infor Launches Microsoft Dynamics-Based 'CRM Business', Tailored for Mid-Sized Companies

Infor, a provider of business software for mid-market companies, has launched Infor CRM Business, a new customer relationship management (CRM) offering for mid-sized companies that has Microsoft Dynamics CRM as its core.

CRM Business gives mid-sized companies the tools to improve the customer experience and to help them grow in areas like marketing, sales and customer service, company officials said. The new solution, which the company said is simple to configure and easy to use, is closely integrated with other Microsoft products, such as Microsoft Office.
Infor, which has increased its reach by acquiring two companies over the summer, also offers Infor CRM Epiphany, which is best suited for the largest companies and Infor CRMi, which is designed specifically for the needs of larger companies that run IBM's System i (AS/400) infrastructure.

Infor officials said they introduced Infor CRM Business in direct response to the requests by mid-sized customers for a cost-effective CRM solution that fit with the sizes of their companies, their business models and their typical IT resources.
To address the need of these customers quickly, Infor expanded its independent software vendor agreement with Microsoft so it could use Microsoft Dynamics CRM as the core of the new Infor CRM Business tool.

"As we looked to further address mid-sized companies' needs and differentiate ourselves in the market, we realized we needed an easy-to-use, affordable CRM solution that would complement our unified technology strategy and provide fast return on the customer's investment," said Soma Somasundaram, senior vice president, Global Product Development, Infor, in a statement. "Microsoft Dynamics CRM is a natural fit given our recently announced agreement to more closely align technologies, its low cost and ease-of-use."
