Hewlett-Packard, Microsoft to launch industry accelerators for Microsoft Dynamics

April 8 2015

Hewlett-Packard is teaming up with Microsoft to deliver solutions for the automotive, public sector, and financial services industries to help organizations quickly deliver customized products and create new revenue through mobile, web and social channels.

HP's so-called Business Process as-a-Service (BPaaS) solutions for Microsoft Dynamics offers are aimed at delivering industry-tailored digital, mobile and social interactions with their customers and the citizens they serve, according to officials of the two companies.

The companies are now developing a new portfolio of business accelerators to address key business processes and delivering them as business process as-a-service solutions, officials said. The solutions include accelerators for:

  • Case Management - To support different types of business processes, e.g., license and permit management, grants management and law enforcement.
  • Social Benefits Administration - To deliver a variety of social services to citizens such as early care and education, adult and aging services, remote care case management, disability services and wellness assessments.
  • Citizen Services: Portals and Call Centers - To offer citizens multi-channel access to request information and services from government agencies.
  • Banking Transformation - To modernize and automate business processes for a bank's branch network and lending systems as well as mobilize its sales force to more efficiently sell and service customers and provide a better customer experience.
  • Loan Process Transformation - To modernize and automate business processes associated with legacy loan origination systems as well as to build a customer communication and data storage solution.
  • Automotive After sales Customer Experience Management - To allow the proactive sales of services and improve the customer experience.

"For example, in the automotive sector, we will provide both local and global OEMs with a rapid approach to the transition in delivering a digital first customer experience," said Hayden Stafford, Vice President, Enterprise Sales, Microsoft Business Solutions, in a statement.

Industry templates are nothing new to Microsoft. The Dynamics CRM R&D and industry teams have been creating industry templates for cases in financial services, manufacturing and distribution, nonprofit, professional services, and public sector, retail, as well as others around sales and service methodology for CRM 2013 and CRM 2015.

Last April, HP announced the expansion of its Microsoft Dynamics application solutions portfolio with additional offshore capacity in India, China and the Philippines. The company also acquired Arvato Systems' Dynamics practice in Asia. Under the terms of the agreement, employees of Arvato Systems' Microsoft Dynamics practice in Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia joined HP, according to company officials.
