Sending notifications to Skype

Commonly, users need to receive notifications about an event in a Dynamics system. Most organizations send out email alerts, and some companies may send SMS messages. Skype for Business notifications offer a third alternative, and it is possible with a no-code approach through Flow.

Microsoft MVP Nicolae Tarla explored how to create Dynamics 365 Sales app notifications using Skype and Flow and reported on what the systems can do together by default.

Flow allows two actions in Skype for Business: creating a meeting and sending a message. Users can trigger the flow when an entity like an account is created or on an entity's update.
