Fast Fabric for Dynamics 365 F&O and Power BI reaching public preview by November: Microsoft
Fast Fabric, a “near real-time sync” between Microsoft Fabric and Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations applications, is now in preview, Microsoft announced.
“We’re committed to making data integration between Microsoft Dataverse and Microsoft Fabric faster, simpler, and more secure,” wrote Manas Maheshwari, whose latest title on LinkedIn is head of product for AI agents.
The new Dataverse to Fabric integration approach claims to reduce sync times to less than 15 minutes in most cases. Data analysts working in Power BI will then be able to take advantage of that more accurate data.
“To take advantage of Fast Fabric today, unlink and create a new link. We’re also working on an auto-upgrade for all customers, with an ETA of Q1 CY26,” Maheshwari added.
Customers can use Link to Fabric from Dataverse today to bring Dataverse table data into Fabric for use in Power BI workspaces.

MSDW reported that Microsoft explained the tradeoffs of the two options at the time as follows:
