Erik Tiden Joins Microsoft as New General Manager of Dynamics NAV R&D

Erik TidenErik Tiden has joined Microsoft Corp. as its new General Manager, Microsoft Dynamics NAV R&D.

Tiden replaces Dan Brown, who recently talked about the highlights of his time in the position.

Recently Brown and his family moved back to the US after several years in Denmark with the NAV team. And that move meant a professional change for him.

In his introductory blog post, Tiden said, "I am excited about the prospects of working with all of you who are involved with NAV. . . . I consider myself fortunate to be joining this tradition and to have the opportunity to take NAV to even greater heights together with all of you."

Tiden said he has 20 years of experience in business software solutions, and is passionate about building great software. Before joining Microsoft, Tiden served in executive roles at HP and SAP, where he held the title of General Manager and Global Head of Custom Development. Before that, Tiden was Senior Vice President for SAP CRM Development, responsible for the software development of SAP's award winning CRM 7.0 product.

"Working closely with customers and partners is a big part of why I have found my past roles so rewarding," he said in the post. "I especially enjoy working with small and medium-sized companies. They are every bit as sophisticated as large enterprises in their business requirements, yet they have the added challenges of simplicity and ultra-low TCO."
