Enterprise Credit Management for Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations: A look at Microsoft's new IP

by Eamon McCarthy Earls
Assistant Editor, MSDynamicsWorld.com

In recent months, Microsoft has taken a different tack to expand the capabilities of Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations by either purchasing or acquiring the rights to the IP developed by partners.

The process of acquiring solution rights began in April and was announced by D365FO general manager Muhammad Alam at Summit EMEA 2018 in Dublin. Tyler Technologies provided budgeting, vendor collaboration, and US-specific vendor 1099 capabilities, while Armanino LLP shared revenue recognition management and compliance for IFR 15 and ASC 606 regulations. Blue Horseshoe's AWAX and ATRAX products were used to source advanced warehouse and transportation management capabilities.

Microsoft has also acquired enterprise credit management capabilities from DXC Technologies thanks to IP from DXC's acquisition of Sable37.
