Dyno-Rod Secures Private Cloud for Custom Microsoft Dynamics CRM Solution

Dyno-Rod, a 24-hour drain, plumbing and locksmith services provider in the U.K. has appointed cloud specialists secureVirtual to roll out a customer relationship management (CRM) system across its 100-plus franchises.

The Microsoft Dynamics CRM system, hosted in a private cloud developed by secureVirtual, will enable Dyno-Rod's IT department to manage CRM functions internally, according to company officials.

Each day, more than a thousand Dyno-Rod engineers work from locations across the U.K., sending much of their time on the road between customer visits. The private hosted solution provides a centralized location for customer details, tracking jobs, processing orders and invoices, managing sales calls and transmitting customer information, according to the companies.

After testing the system in one of Dyno-Rod's business units, secureVirtual won the contract to fully implement the system in April 2010. Currently, over 400 employees are using the system, which they access via a web interface, officials said. Dyno-Rod plans to roll out the system to the rest of its engineers next year.

Access to affordable support was a key factor in Dyno-Rod's decision to select the secureVirtual Dynamics CRM system, officials said. Using secureVirtual's Consultancy on Demand, Dyno-Rod buys credits in advance and uses them as needed, paying only for the support it needs, according to the companies.

The platform has been customized to integrate with the system used by British Gas, Dyno-Rod's parent company. An automated process runs for five hours every night to link data in the two systems while files are backed up, according to the companies.
