Transforming the business with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform

Sarkar is digital transformation director for CloudSource, a Microsoft Gold Partner assisting clients with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, Customer Engagement, Azure, and Power Platform projects. She also co-authored the book "Building a Digital Future", looking at business transformation with Dynamics 365.

Sarkar's projects range from local to multinational deployments. Before the pandemic, work often involved travel to other countries to work with stakeholders and gather requirements ahead of a deployment. Today, she explained, her team's work involves both public sector and private firms, though she sees public sector still more focused on getting to the cloud.

[For the most part, the public sector is] not into cloud yet, but it is happening. We have seen manual paper work and form filling being automated. Or it could be about getting updates to an internal team, to give them access to the system so that they can share info from a portal system.

For the event, Sarkar plans to present two different sessions, both with a Microsoft customer. One, titled "Learn How to Empower Yourself to Solve Business Challenges", will also feature Microsoft MVP Samit Saini and will focus on how to use Power Apps to overcome business challenges. The top challenge today, she believes, is uncertainty about the future.
